Description.
Bushy rounded forb to roughly 40 centi-metres. Leaves are linear and concentrated in the lower half of each stem. Leaf margins may be dissected. The small, yellow daisy flowers are carried singly atop each stem. Large plants produce dozens of flowering stems. Flowers are followed by light brown burrs which divide into many triangular, awned seeds.
Propagation.
Germinates well from untreated seed. Success has been reported from cuttings.
Flowering.
Year round, often in response to rain.
Locations.
Willans Hill, Wagga Wagga Rd northwest of Coolamon, Tooyal School Rd. May form spectacular displays by roadsides, sometimes accompanied by C. cuneifolia
Extra Notes.
The burrs are known to catch in wool.
